The world has, since inception, being plagued by challenges engendering various ills. From natural to human disasters, societies have been confronted with anomalies responsible for the alarming death rates, poor living conditions, heinous crimes and chaotic situations. Developed, developing and under-developed nations are faced with peculiar ills.
Unfortunately, humanity is standing between the devil and deep blue sea. It is yet to come to terms with the fact that being undecided to finding a lasting solution to its prevailing problems would be tantamount to moving in a vicious circle. The perplexity disturbing mankind as to dwell on eminent problems or work out concrete roadmaps towards obliterating militating circumstances is a salient issue being observed ion all of its existence.
Societies are on a serious look-out for the appropriate vaccine to kick out all of the conspicuous diseases of problems facing them. They understand it has to be urgent because their influences, modus operandi and other distinguishing depictions will, in a not-too-distant-future, become history. To that end, some societies have assiduously sought vaccines that they believe would take care of the faced peculiar ills. Yet, there have been room for more concerns. The vaccines have sadly caused more apparently never-ending ripples of problems to the detriment of the peoples, their habitats and as a general priority, their unique eco-system.
From the west to the east, the world’s geographical outlook has witnessed series of dis-eases of varying degrees of havoc. From America to Asia, many of their nations are continually experiencing untold hardship resulting from prevalent ills peculiar to them. Consequently, they experience sleepless nights in attempting to find that vaccine!
The media has illuminated the minds of people to the ills plaguing their societies and underscored the need for a desired remedy. Newspapers, television stations, radio and the multi-media outfits have been indefatigably disseminating information portraying several disturbing ills that are unfriendly to a peaceful existence. Wars, genocides, homicides, suicides, insurgencies, the acts of terrorism , juvenile decadences , abuse of authority by government officials, molestation of children and many more anomalies have continually made bold headlines---captions, subject headings and titles seen in the media.
The media looks forward to the very vaccine that would address and treat once and for all the ills of society. The people are yearning!
Introduction
Education: The Vaccine for Societal Ills is an interest designed to examine pertinent areas of human concern (which are not properly prioritized by the government and seldom, the people) where societal ills emanate. It succinctly asserts the stance of education in the advancement of human interests. Though it makes comparison to what makes comparison to what makes nations thick, it focuses on the need to vaccinate the ills facing the Nigerian society through education.
Research and empirical findings are used to elucidate the roles of the government and great people towards the development of their countries thereby creating remedies against the militating ills that once disturbed their steady growth. It also explores the possibility of feats being actually pronounced in Nigeria.

The text explains the present pitfalls, or better yet, ills that have emerged from the above-mentioned areas of concern---having asserted what education has done to make them lucrative for all and sundry---especially in Nigeria. As earlier stated, the inspiring societies of the world and peoples who made them great will be looked into while comparing them to the fate of the Nigerian entity.
The conclusion is the message of hope: the possibility of resuscitation in all fronts. It puts across in the minds of readers the reality of revamping of the dying entities playing hosts to the ills plaguing Nigeria through the coming together of the people and government towards positioning at the fore-front education as the very vaccine for the ills confronting the society.
