Logline
Keisha and her mother are fond of trading words at each other, atop their voices, at every slightest provocation, which usually is Keisha's fault. Monique and Theresa, neighbours with Juliana, would have to intervene to settle their incessant rifts.
Despite Keisha's disturbing background, Amber Community College becomes the meeting point that would establish the friendship of the trio of Keisha, Lin and Betty. Keisha attempts to lure naive Lin and Bety into her lifestyle of sleeping around for cash. Anthony, the young man whom she knows before gaining admission into the college, is on hand to sign them into his roaster of clients. However, at the last minute, while at Anthony's abode, Lin and Betty are able to turn down his "quick-cash" offer and focus on their studies, though they almost gave in to Keisha's lifestyle.
Lin and Betty, roommates with Keisha, draw the line of existing friendship between them. Keisha continues her fast-lane life of prostituting around and having companions of men, in and outside of campus. It gets to the point she has to leave school to get more involved with the street life.
Years after, Keisha's sparkling youthfulness dwindles. She gets pregnant for an anonymous man who is not interested in her and the baby. Living from hand to mouth, Keisha struggles from paycheck to paycheck to cater for her daughter. Going through the harshness of life, she seeks help from her once-upon-a-time friends, Lin and Betty, happily married and gainfully employed, to connect with a responsible and comfortable man. Lin and Bety could only raise her money for her upkeep but could not find her a man of her choice.
Finally, she sought for help in the hands of Beatrice, a popular psychiatrist in Amber City. Unknown to Keisha, Tate X, one of Keisha's clients in her prime years, siblings with Beatrice, makes known his concerns about Keisha's attitude of stealing. As a result, instead of counselling Keisha, Beatrice reminds her of the deeds with Tate X, her younger brother. Not showing remorse, Keisha's tantrums resonates with Beatrice use of furious words at her. Beatrice ensures Keisha sees the exit of her office, without being paid.
At this time, Keisha is aware her mother, whom she chose not to see, is no more. But her popularity and established lifestyle of prostitution in the whole of Amber continue her street streak, now as a single mother.
Keisha becomes a living testimony of Modern Woman Tells Tales.
