Introduction
The chapbook demonstrates reactions which reflects the incidences of issues on the plane mirror of life. Concerns, ranging from personal and philosophical, to social and political interests such as war, health, cynicism, personal desire, motivation, love, humanity, society, the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic and The Soldier's Will, Reflections is a depiction of their incidences, with the aim of reacting to them in terms of enlightenment, inspiration, and entertainment.

Chapter One
The Love For Humanity: The Hatred For War
The death of innocent souls in wars
makes matter worse
Why should the mighty push for such human disaster
over a trivial matter?
When a nation of great strength wages war
against 'a lesser' that once shared territorial grounds more,
It creates unhealthy concerns for the rest of the world
as the loss of lives and property would become seriously odd
Experimenting with bio weapons
at the expense of innocent lives in those nations
Is stretching humanity beyond its threshold of peace
to the point of embracing the purpose of unease
What is the gain of disturbing peaceful coexistence
If not witnessing the pain of disturbance?
Let the powers that be give a second thought to their action;
for the future would assert the reaction
Humanity craves for rest of its rest
So, it would be unpalatable to disturb that crest
Truth be told,
Regardless of who seem to be at fault,
War should not be what is to be looked as fought
There is always a ground of reconcilation
an understanding of co-operation,
a place for dialogue,
a method of taking out lingering backlogs,
an eventual resolving of differences,
a viable approach to avoid in future sitting on defence,
The love of mankind is paramount
So, war must be in a state of surmount!
Chapter Two
What do I want?
Money, cars, houses?
Do I really want them?
Can I get them?
If yes,
I live in the world of possibilities
I am very confident in my abilities
I chose not to dwell in the thought of uncertainties
So,
I want money to show the world my ambition isn't funny
I want cars to show the world I'm on not day-dreaming on planet Mars
I want to own houses to show the world I'm not only about blouses
If no,
I find myself in a world of seeming impossibilities
I am apparently not confident in my capabilities
I am chosing to dwell in the thought of "realities"
So,
I don't want money to avoid the world laughing funnily at my ambition
I don't want cars to avoid showing the world how I could day-dream on planet Mars
I don't want houses to avoid showing the world I'm about blouses.
Again, What do I want?
Chapter Three
Cynicism
I always look forward to a health relationship
Yet, all of my efforts to to make it work become a mishap
I have always wanted to have a good companion
Yet, I have been entrapped by those interested in my onion
Moving up and about have I searched for true love
Yet, I have engaged those ripping off the good I am of
I have been assured not to give up in my search for the right one
Yet, I have been cheated on
I believe my relationship will work well
Yet, what it has brought me is hell
I have always thought that money makes relationship stronger
Yet, that made my intimacy weaker.
I have always wanted altruism
Yet, I have seen my life of relationship heading towards cynicism
Chapter Four
The Valence Of Cynicism
(I)
With money,
love from people comes around
People's interest towards you abound
They want relationship with you
Their interest is hidden from your view
Some want you to have intimacy with them
Their 'want-back-in return' you won't condemn
When they are satisfied with they want,
they say outside your hearing what you are not.
You want to show altruism
But they depict Cynicism.
(Ii)
Diogenes was a character of transparency
His mannerism was void of hypocrisy
The truth was exposing the lies of culture of humanity
Ancient Greek had its elitism off the reality
Living by the idea was an evidence
He gave the ideology of Cynicism a substance
The ancient Greek elite kept his activities in private
Diogenes' lifestyle of copulation and defecation in public exposed his mate.
The double-standard cutture was typical among the elites.
Diogenes' idea of Cynicism unveiled the truth the less-considered minorites.
Iii)
Politicians are seen as great tools for change
But are concerned from what they to gain the meagre wage
Politicians unveils to their subjects what they want to hear
But ensure they utterly steer clear
Politicians encourage the use of vaccine shots
But they immune themselves from the faults.
Politicians appear to be selfless in service
But are really spinless-to the people in terms of importance
Polticians assure peoople change is on the way
But eventually leave them in dismay
Chapter Five
The Soldier's Will
You can take all his weapon
But you can't take from him the spirit of a champion
You can take his fellow brethren
But you can't take away from him his divine amen
You can take away his food
But you can't take away from him the knowledge of his hood
You can take away his health
But you can't take away from him the beauty of his eternal wealth
You can take away his frivolities
But you can't take away from him the fullness of his priorities
You can take from him the presence of wars
But you can't take away from him the ' 'eternality' of the cause
You can take away from him his meal
But you can't take away from him the Soldier's Will
Chapter Six
Corona Virus: Where Are Thou Sting?
2020 came with great promises
The people planned the year on great premises
Suddenly, out of the blue, an emergence disrupted several priorities
It was a Dis-Ease that has caused untold anomalies
The disease was the projected Corona Virus
Its presence has engineered a global population minus
The disease has made the graveyard of death filled with countless bodies
Corona Virus seems to have left the living with few goodies
Though, 2019 was when the personality of the Corona Virus was announced,
In 2020, The world never imagined its magnitude of negative havoc would be pronounced
But 'when there is life, there's is hope', as the saying goes
The coming to life of humanity is what the world knows
Corona Virus, you thought
shortness of breath
Fever
Loss of weight
Weakness and
Incessant sneezing
are your body-impairment weapons
But you fail to realize The solution of hope;
The remedy of good health;
The potency of a last solution;
are at the doorstep of humanity's consciousness
Now, the question is:

Chapter Seven
The Road To Making It In Life
Whatever it takes to make it
I will strive hard to attain it
But I'm for humanity
So, I uphold my sanity
Been through several discouragements in the past
I learned how to wisely to be courageously vast
Success is not achieved in a haste
'I am consistent' was the reason to avoid any time waste
Acquiring the right skill set was work in progress
I built the character to show its progress
Time was needed to finish the race
I relied on the power of patience
The by-product of success is making wealth
I ensured a priority on my health
Success is the continuous
I am willing to walk diligently on toes
The road to making it is uphills
I will be ready to move through life's "up the hills"
Chapter Eight
My New Face Of Personality
My face is burnt;
Should I hurt my thought?
Fire tries to end my facial physicality;
Should that affect my reality?
I had no idea my face would experience such;
Should I negatively talk about it much?
I realized beauty comes from within;
My facial look is just kidding;
When the need for character steps in
I realized my current facial condition is to make me reach a decision;
Separate the grains from the chaffs of my situation;
Appreciate a true friend and frown at a false companion.
Now...
It has motivated to smile in the face of life's hurdles
It has inspired to surmount life struggles
It has courageously positioned me to always stand tall
It has amazingly strengthened me to see direction, despite a standing wall
It has helped me define character in a proper perspective
It has shown me why focus should be my prerogative.
Though my face was burnt, causing facial deformity but...
My facial deformity is not up for mockery;
It is a situation that makes a good story
My facial deformity is not up for ridicule;
It is a situation that makes a good life riddle
My facial deformity is not up for caricature
It is a situation that makes the building-up of an amazing creature
Chapter Nine
My Healing
As I journeyed through life,
I was faced with the bumpy roads of contradiction
Being taught what life is about had framed my perception
Doing good to people had been my watchword,
Expecting the same gesture to reflect in my world
I casted my beautiful walking foot of moral training against the ugly stone of adversity
Then I realized the bumpy roads had nothing but the infliction of evil
Touching that hurting part of me softly,
I was responded by the hardness of 'painfully'
My beautiful walking foot of morality witnessed the bleeding of retaliation
As I wanted to to retaliate the pain of evil,
I realized the stone was on the floor bumpy road of pain
Then, I knew if I compromised my beautiful walking foot of morality,
That foot of mine would be held back by the static situation of continued excruciation of bitterness.
So, I decided to nurse the pain with the maturity of forgiveness
And summoned tthe courage to move on
That gradually became my healing...
Chapter Ten
The Other Side Of Society
The society is a mind controlling machine.
The society wants to program you to be what it has always wanted: to be fixed under stuck-in chin
The society patterns you just a particular way: a manner it considers as your mainstay
The society pokes into your affairs: That way, it is convinced that its approach is fair
The society has designed mechanisms to ensure control: to make sure you are on that row.
The society has designed the family as the fundamental program unit: to put you in the genesis of indoctrination grams
As a child, you are getting confined to the "dos and donts" of the structure: under the watch of "established culture"
You are confined to the system designed to program you for something bigger: a system designed to make the programing greater...
The school system is a complex mind control element: designed to make you deliberately fit in that environment
You are conditioned to realize education is what you can get from what you are taught in class: a way of positioning your thoughts like others en masse
You are patterned to get used to the system of being "burdened" with take-home assignments and class works: a checker to ascertain how well programmed with the odd
The control machines programs you for a more tasks ahead...
The labor force is a strong program tool: designed to make you understand what makes your working tools the fool
You have no option other than do what you are told: a subtle way to put your creativity in the mold
Under the mercy of your employer, you have to work half a day, throughout the week (weekends, at times): to receive what makes you weak..
Slow, Always Low, Always Reducing You...
Programming for something bigger...
The society pressures you into being what it has always wanted: the family it has always wanted you to have created
You work diligently to make that happen: to avoid people (programmed themselves) write about you with an ugly pen
The family person program it has always wanted you to become sees the light of day: with the aim of using you as a jewel as you live in the name of being responsible but fade you a fool when dead
